Z powodu koronawirusa w Connecticut zmarło sześciotygodniowe niemowlę – poinformował gubernator tego stanu Ned Lamont. To prawdopodobnie najmłodsza ofiara śmiertelna COVID-19 na świecie.

Dziewczynka trafiła do szpitala w ubiegłym tygodniu, niestety mimo wysiłków lekarzom nie udało się jej uratować. We wtorek wieczorem test wykazał, że dziecko ma koronawirusa. „To wirus, który bezlitośnie atakuje najbardziej wrażliwych. To pokazuje jak ważne jest pozostanie w domu i ograniczanie kontaktu z innymi ludźmi” – stwierdził gubernator Connecticut. Lamont poinformował w środę o kolejnych 19 zgonach chorych z Covid-19 w Connecticut. Łącznie w położonym w pobliżu Nowego Jorku stanie zmarły już 85 zakażone osoby.
